Symbols and notes
codeto report uses recurring symbols and colours so that the status is recognisable at a glance.
Lock symbol (π)β
The lock always means that the entry or period is read-only for the current user. What matters is where the lock is shown.
| Where it appears | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Directly on a report | This individual report cannot be edited or deleted by the current user. This can happen if the report was forwarded, is already in the approval process, has been approved, is not assigned to the current user, or the week is locked. |
| On a week or row | The entire week is closed or locked. Employees can no longer edit the entries. Assigned supervisors can still approve or reject reports that are assigned to them for approval. |
| On a day in the mobile app | The day is part of a closed period and is therefore locked. |
A lock on an individual report therefore does not automatically mean that the whole week is closed.
tip
Masters (FA) and Super Users (SU) have extended rights and can intervene in exceptional cases.
Exclamation mark (!)β
Indicates a rule violation or an important point, e.g. a missing break, weekly hours exceeded, compensation without a balance. Check, correct or confirm the entry.
Report coloursβ
- Grey: planned / draft
- Yellow: forwarded

Week and row displayβ
- Closed week: row with lock icon and muted colours.
- Open: normal display without a week lock. Individual reports can still be locked if they are not editable.
