Key terms from the codeto plan documentation.

Absence
Time away from work such as holidays, training or other non-productive periods. (See Absences chapter.)
Display options
Settings opened via the eye icon at the top right; show or hide name, notes and date for entries. (See Display options chapter.)
B
Booking
Assignment of employees to projects, service orders or other tasks. Can be created in different views. (See Booking chapter.)
Branch office
Organisational unit within a company. (See Branch office settings.)
C
codeto plan
Web-based scheduling application. Features: workforce planning, work-equipment management, capacity planning, project management, absence management.
Calendar view
Day, work week, week, month or year, depending on the time span you want. (See Calendar views chapter.)
D
Detail view
Extended view with drag & drop for changing, moving or copying bookings. (See Detail view chapter.)
E
Employees view
Main view with bookings and availability of employees. (See Employees view chapter.)
Enterprise
codeto plan variant with an interface to the ERP. Enterprise customers get automatic data exchange (master data, absences, projects, service orders) plus a three-year view and switching between companies of a group. Enterprise-specific content is flagged accordingly in the documentation.
ERP interface
Connection between codeto plan and the ERP. Automatic data exchange of:
- Employee master data
- Absences
- Project data
- Service orders

Filter
Tool to narrow the display by specific criteria. (See Filter chapter.)

Language settings
Adjust the user interface language. (See Personal settings chapter.)
P
Projects view
Main view with the assignment of employees to projects. (See Projects view chapter.)
S
SaaS
Standard variant (Software as a Service) without an ERP interface. All data is entered directly in codeto plan. Access: app.codeto.ch.
Service order
Order carried out by an employee. Can be managed and booked in codeto plan.
Service view
Main view with the assignment of employees to service orders. (See Service view chapter.)
Settings
Configuration for master data, working hours, calendar, colours and personal settings. (See Settings chapter.)
Switch company
Enterprise feature to switch between companies of a group without signing in again.
U
Updates
Information about the latest changes and improvements. (See Updates chapter.)
User role
Access level that defines a user's permissions. Four levels (see User roles and permissions):
- Read access only (e.g. employees)
- Read and write (e.g. project managers)
- Extended rights including settings (e.g. management, administration)
- Enterprise rights for all companies of a group
Utilization
Workload of employees or resources over a period of time. (See Utilization chapter.)

Work equipment
Resources such as tools or vehicles that can be managed and assigned to employees. (See Work equipment chapter.)
